Biography

Jens advises our clients on corporate law matters, in particular M&A. He spends most of his days involved in asset and share deals as well as capital raisings and increases.

His activity includes the performance and coordination of due diligences and the preparation of all documentation required in an M&A transaction, such as share or asset purchase agreements and shareholders’ agreements.

Jens is also responsible for our corporate formalities department, which handles the day-to-day corporate matters of more than 250 companies. In this context, Jens and his team regularly deal with mergers, capital increases and decreases, amendments to the articles of association, changes in management and the like. In addition, together with Uwe Augustin, he advises our clients on all personnel issues affecting corporate officers of the companies we assist (drafting corporate office terms, dealing with removals, etc.).

He also advises his clients on project finance and corporate restructuring.

Furthermore, Jens assists clients of the firm in insolvency matters, in particular in connection with a divestment plan, either on the side of the acquirer or on the side of the management of the company.

Jens’ activity covers a wide range of sectors; however, he has broad experience in industry (especially logistics and transport), energy (especially renewable energy), environment, hotels and tourism, food and media.
Over the years, Jens has built up an extensive network of foreign clients and established himself as the preferred contact for medium to large companies, mainly from German-speaking countries.

Finally, Jens uses his dynamic nature, analytical mind and international outlook in his role as Chairman and Global Ambassador of Pangea-Net, where Jens leads and coordinates the activities of members from around the world.
