Biography

Jana studied law in Bonn (Germany), Bogotá (Colombia) and Taipei (Taiwan) and completed an LL.M. in European Law at Université Paris Panthéon-Assas.

Jana Leggen advises and represents French and international clients in the areas of commercial law, energy law and construction law. She assists clients with a broad range of legal issues, in particular with drafting, negotiating and analyzing contracts, as well as with preparing and reviewing legal opinions. Moreover, she advises companies in both out-of-court and court disputes, assisting with the negotiation of amicable settlements as well as representing and defending them in court.

Before joining klein • wenner, she gained professional experience at various German, Franco-German and international law firms, with a particular focus on energy law. She also worked as a legal trainee in international and political institutions, including the Permanent Representation of the Federal Republic of Germany to the OECD and the Deutschen Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

In addition to her mother tongue German, Jana is fluent in French, English and Spanish. Her language skills and international experience prove a valuable asset for assisting international clients in cross-border contexts on a daily basis.
