Environment & Urban Planning

Our activity in the area of environment and urban planning is often closely related to our services in the construction, real estate, corporate & M&A sector. This allows us to provide a full range of services to our clients.

Our lawyers, who offer both legal advice and practical assistance in the context of court proceedings in relation to these matters, are very familiar with all the technical complexities and the continuously evolving legal regulations.

ICPE sites
Preparation of the application for environmental permit/registration/declaration, correspondence with regional environmental authorities/prefectures, assistance during cessation of activities, representation of clients in proceedings before the administrative courts (appeals against the environmental permit or regarding operating conditions, financial guarantees, etc.) and before the civil courts (abnormal neighborhood disturbance, etc.).
Polluted industrial sites and soils
Advice and assistance in particular on issues in connection with the acquisition and transfer of polluted industrial sites (audit, drafting/review of environmental clauses) and site decontamination.
Urban planning
Advice and assistance in the preliminary phase preceding the preparation, revision or amendment of urban planning documents such as the local town plan (public investigation phase, etc.), as well as in the final phase (approval, proceedings before the administrative courts).
Environmental issues can arise at any time of the daily business of our clients, either when the activity of companies is directly aimed at waste management or when their production process has an impact on the environment: installations subject to authorization, relations with third parties (authorities, neighbors, customers, et.), production or marketing of products (compliance with standards, composition, labelling/information, etc.), waste management (electronic waste, packaging, paper, hazardous waste, cross-border transport of waste, et.).
